What truly helps a person when life gets hard?
Should we be expected to heal ourselves?
Is there an alternative?
My Counseling Service
Trapped in personal distress.
The soul no longer finds answers. Worries, guilt, grief, or inner struggles shake the heart.
I’m Sara Jathanna, a counselor trained in Biblical Counseling. I accompany you through your inner struggles and life’s pressing questions – based on Scripture and with full trust in God’s transforming power.
If you believe that God’s Word is generally true but doesn’t offer words for your unique situation in the 21st century, let yourself be surprised. Who could help better – even today – than the One who created your heart, who knows exactly what moves you, and who knows you inside and out?
What you’ll find with me:
- Counseling that transforms the heart – the root of all crises and suffering
- An open ear that truly understands
- Biblical truth that brings new orientation and strength
- A companion who walks with you, not ahead of you
- A new view of your heart, capable of changing how you understand your situation
Whether you're battling guilt, feeling stuck in your marriage, processing grief, struggling in the darkness of depression, or simply longing for someone to understand your pain and view your story through the lens of God’s grace – you are welcome here.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
What is Biblical Counseling?
Good counseling addresses both the wrongs people suffer and the wrongs they commit.
In Biblical Counseling, we look closely – together. We look at the struggling heart and its (perhaps yet unrecognized?) need for Jesus Christ: honestly, gently, and with hope.
And we discover that even in the darkness, God speaks – and heals.
“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither…” – Psalm 1:3 (Bible) What a promise!
How a session works:

- Online via Zoom or by phone

Biblical Counseling holds to this: It is primarily God who brings about change in the human heart.
Psychological models can address human behavior. But behavior flows from the heart. And only God changes the heart.
Heart change is not just behavioral or cognitive adjustment – it’s part of a deep and intimate relationship — a relationship between Creator and creature.
Many psychological models can accurately describe what they observe — but they cannot fully explain it.
Scripture doesn’t hand out quick fixes or formulas. That makes it more demanding – and perhaps harder to approach. But precisely because Scripture offers no ready-made recipe, it has the power to go deeper. To reach the heart – where only God can truly transform.
Human beings are more complex than we often assume. Man needs God’s grace more than we think. The heart needs more than a cosmetic repair.
As your biblical awareness of your own condition grows, so does your understanding of how real change solely is possible – God`s Word applied to your own heart.
Would you like to experience the transformation that comes through God’s life-giving Word – in your own heart?
Why Biblical Counseling?
Scripture says:“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23 (Bible) Do you know your own heart? It’s worth looking at this profoundly meaningful part of yourself.
If the heart remains unchanged, then any change is only temporary.
Change that doesn’t reach the heart lacks the power to truly renew life or resolve deep crises.
I am convinced that anyone who experiences the care of the Bible for their heart will also experience relief in their situation. The Bible addresses the healing of the human condition. It speaks of trustworthy love, growing self-awareness, purpose in circumstances, relational processes, and lasting personal change. It deals with distorted perspectives – with how we understand and misunderstand life.
I truly believe that genuine, lasting transformation happens when we gain insight into the dynamics of our hearts and grow in the knowledge of God. How could growing in the knowledge of God not change your life?
The Bible doesn’t shy away from describing humans as in need of healing and redemption.
And it doesn’t hesitate to name Jesus Christ as the Redeemer of humankind.
What other book or human wisdom could we consult before Scripture when it comes to caring for the soul?
The Bible holds the truth. This truth helps us understand what moves your heart – and how change is possible in your life, even now.
